On the 5th August 2021 Dean & Victoria Hurley purchased an existing Quarry on the corner of Tallots Rd & Tram Rd in North Canterbury.

The Quarry is 28 Hectares in size with only 10 acres being quarried at this stage. The rest is leased out to a local farmer. As demand grows, the proportion of the quarry being used will get larger.

Shingle is supplied to the contractors, local farmers, and used in large subdivisions.

The types of product available at this stage are AP20, AP40, AP65, Pit Run, Crusher Dust, Boulders, Horse Arena sand & other products on request.

The quarry is located at 2064 Tram Rd. The Aggregate office is at 381 Johns Rd, the office is only open part time.

Dean is able to offer advice on shingle quality and supplies as he had over 17 years in the Excavation & Cartage industry.

There are 2 full time staff and one part time office person.

Hurley Aggregate has consents in the Ashley River to make River Run and other by products. If there is a product you need that we don’t supply, you can contact Dean and arrange a meeting & discuss the product to see if it can be made and to the quantity needed.
